Chemical Distributors Inc. distributes raw materials and containers to industries across the Pacific Northwest, the Rocky Mountain States, Alaska and Hawaii. In Addition, we represent Accurate Colorants as well as Hi-Mar Specialty Chemicals LLC in: Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada and Wyoming. CDI was established in 1976 and is headquartered in Portland, Oregon.
Don co-founded Chemical Distributors, Inc in 1976 with Bob Eaton who passed away in 1996. Don graduated from Portland State University in 1965 and holds a B A degree in Chemistry from that institution. Prior to starting CDI, Don worked for Benson Chemical Company for ten years as salesman and Portland Manager.
John MitchellTechnical Sales
John joined CDI in January 1984. Prior to that time, he worked for McCloskey Varnish Company and Zehrung Chemical while attending school. John graduated from Portland State University with a degree in Business Administration in 1982.
John HanesTechnical Sales
John began his career at CDI in 2005. Prior to that time he worked for Rudd Company, Inc in Seattle, WA as Transportation Manager. John attended Highline College in Seattle.
Steve CruickshankOperations Manager
Steve graduated from Oregon State University with a BS degree in chemistry in 2003. Steve worked for CH2M Hill Laboratories in Corvallis, OR for one year prior to his graduation. Steve joined CDI in 2004 in a sales capacity and became Operations Manager in 2017.
Laurie DodgeCustomer Service Representative
Laurie worked for eighteen years at Ameritone Paint in Portland prior to joining CDI in 1998. Laurie provides help for CDI’s customers and oversees the company’s provision of warehousing services for CDI customers and suppliers.
Mary SabinCustomer Service Representative
Mary joined CDI in 2017. Prior to that time she was employed by Freightliner Corporation in Portland. Mary is primarily involved in responding to customers’ calls to place orders and to confirm current pricing information. Recently a customer remarked that
calling CDI and being helped by the company’s Customer Service Representatives was a very pleasant experience in every instance.
